Toni Week 2010 (the tradition lives on)

Since the first year we moved away from the family nucleus, my awesome sisters have been coming to visit each year.

This year was EXTRA fun because
1) Anna is adorable. Just the bounciest, runningest thing you have ever seen. And all of that energy in only a 17 pound frame. It was so fun for the cousins to play together. Clarky woke up this morning (the day after they left) and asked, "Where's Anna?" sad moment. So, so, so far away (The Michaelsons have us beat though).

Is this fun?

Let me think about it. . .

2) Clark's friend birthday party coincided (not a coincidence) with their visit so we had an extra adult to make potential chaos into a fun Blue's Clues Party. To play Blue's Clues, you have to find the pawprints, draw them in your "Thinking Chair Notebook" and then, when you have all three clues, you sit in your thinking chair and try to deduce what Blue is trying to say, because all she can really do to communicate is squeak and leave her pawprints on things.

Clue #1: A stick.

Clue #2: You are free to surmise whatever you wish from this set up, but the clue is blindfolds

Clue #3: Candy

Now just sit and think about it. What does Blue want to do?

No, silly! It's a strawberry pinata. I spent many hours of my childhood making pinatas in the basement. Or, more accurately, starting pinatas in the basement.

The cake. It was the week of chocolate cakes.

3) The Matching Dresses Tradition! Last year, we made them out of table runners, this year it was adorable polka-dots.



It was such a great week! Thanks for coming out Toni and Anna, we love you so much! Beetle, we'll catch you next year when you get home from Chile.
