Clark and Micaela

Clark and Micaela have actually been an item since before Christmas. I think they hooked up at Micaela's birthday party.

This is them at the birthday in Micaela's room while everyone else was saying a prayer.

One of our favorite moments was when they were in jumping on Micaela's parents bed. They shut the door, and were playing around. Then the door opens and Micaela comes streaking out of the room. Without pants. She said they were too big and they fell off.

These photos were taken last week in nursery. As soon as they started singing "I Love to See the Temple" Clark put his arm around Micaela and she snuggled right in. Apparently, he would lean down and give her a little kiss on the head periodically as they looked at the temple picture.

We've got a hard-talkin', hard-lovin' man on our hands.

**I think we may need to cut back on the Handy Manny. The tension between Manny and Kelly at the hardware store is palpable and I'm sure its having an effect on him.

Inside Jan's mind

Once you stick your finger inside the dirty part of a dirty diaper to see if that is what you've been smelling, it is very hard to feel like your finger is ever clean again. I think I unconsciously hold it a little away from all of my other fingers for several hours after the fact. And yes, I do wash with soap.

Its funny to me that grandmothers will go to as great of lengths to choose their title as grandmother as they did for their own children. Gram gram, mimi, peaches, patsy, baba, etc. And then their grandchild names them "Buguh" and it sticks. Luckily neither of Clark's grandma's had a preference so not much energy was wasted.

Clark substitutes the "tr" in "truck" for "f". It is hilarious. Especially because he begins every word with a sound between "a" and "o" (everything has an article--a pen, a mommy, a baby). "O, $@#*". For some reason, I think it is really funny and not offensive. Hopefully everyone else does too. I need to stop having him say it though, he's catching on that it is entertaining and he'll never learn his "tr" sound.

There really is no way to answer anti-mormons. You just have to let them have the last word.

Goings on

The other day, Clark and Horton went out to wait for Ben to get home. They were extremely patient--like 5 minutes out there watching for Ben and calling out "Daddy". But, of course, as soon as they gave up and came in, he came home. Clark has also taken to referring to Ben as "Ben", which I secretly love.

I love being a little girl's mom more than I imagined that I would.

Easter egg hunting was a screaming success this year, Clark was only limited by the size of his basket.
