Swinging Sweethearts

This is Haven and Clark. They are trying to share the swatting-at-toy that Clark has. Mostly they ended up hitting each other with their random, uncontrolled movements.

Update

Urge is a rip off. Its like renting music. Once your two week subscription ends, the files are encrypted to EXPLODE in your computer! Actually, they are just useless. But they still work on the MP3 player, so I guess its not totally futile. But now we aren't as excited by it. We're suckers. Hopefully a cult leader doesn't approach us with promises of a free two-week trial of salvation. I hope our readers are good enough friends to stage an intervention if it comes to that.

Chubbing Up

Clark's two month appointment was very encouraging. He is still gaining about an ounce every day and he now weighs . . . NINE pounds and SEVEN ounces! The size of a big newborn! But at least he's out of the 1st percentile. He is in the 20th and 25 percentile for weight and height (respectively). And how much has he grown? He's 22 inches. So he's gained about 4 inches and 4 pounds since he was born. We are so proud of him.

Here is a picture of the other part of his appointment: immunizations. Gratefully, the nurses choose different-patterned bandaids for each shot. Clark's fussy about his bandaids. He's spent quite a bit of time sleeping and creating antibodies since his appointment. He's a hard worker.

This is us at the park feeding the ducks saltless bread. Well, mostly my friend and her daughters did it. We watched.

A solution

I had a problem: I spent some time (not too much, though, thanks to my birthday gift mixer) making a batch of bread on Monday. As I bit into the first piece of warm, soft homemade bread, I thought: Man, this would be really good if it had some salt in it.

So what do you do with three loaves of unsalted bread?

I submit that it is perfect for feeding the ducks/geese. They don't care if it has salt in it! They are eating it when its drenched in poopy duck water.

Any other ideas?
