Majority Rules

The results are in:

11 for a Girl
8 for a Boy

So, that means its a GIRL!!!

Good job everyone!

(Everything looks fine, we didn't really get a good shot of her face in the ultrasound, which would have devastated me with the first baby, but now, with a little perspective, I realize that I will get PLENTY of time to get to know her face in a few weeks).

Yay! We love little girls around here. We're glad you're going to be blessed with one.

(Maybe you'll rub off on us, and we'll get a boy. Not that we're pregnant at the moment.)

HOORAY!

Very fun. Girls are tons of fun... but I don't have a boy, so I don't know how they compare. But having a girl is good because I can blame a lot of Kaayl's personality on her being a girl. For instance, when she is cranky, that's okay because "she's a girl." And, when she gets moody, its understandable because "she's a girl." It totally makes everything go better when you have an excuse...

I voted for boy twice. . .but a girl is going to be amazing!!! I'm excited to meet her next Fall.

If you need any name suggestions, I would be happy to help you out. Since working at my school I have realized that all you have to do is put together random syllables, add an apostrophe, and you've got a name that no other person will ever have. (And no other person will ever be able to pronounce). Here's some of my favorites: Z'Charia, Darr'yal, D'Licya.
Congratulations!!!

Why haven't I commented yet?!!! GIRLS are so fun, and now you get to shop for girl clothes because they are infintely cuter and easier to find than boy clothes. Target, he you come! I am also requesting belly photos. And future names.

My dad just sent me family reunion videos from 1988 and you were a shy, skinny, long-haired, back-bending thing... now look at you. Love!

YEAH!!! The world could really use another mini-Jan-Francisco. Yes, that is definitely what we need in these perilous times. I am very excited for you kiddo!!

ps. random side note... who are "zach and codi?" Are they for real?--like THE ones from the Disney Channel? I would be a total fan because I watched "the Suite Life of Zach and Codi" a million times in Haiti. Hook a sista up.

Hey Jan, I just let Geneva know (through facebook) that we met. It was nice to meet you on Wednesday!

Yes, Zach and Codi are for real--though they aren't TV stars yet. They both served in my mission--in fact, I served with both of them (well, I was Codi's comp and Zach was in my zone for 11 months). They are stellar. Check out their blog.
