Observations from a Mall

Ben and I had a great time the few days after we returned from our vacation but before he had to go back to school. We spent a couple of days shopping--just because we had time to kill.

Here are some observations:

- I am no longer a teenager.
- Even if I like the stylish clothes, they don't always make them Mom-sized.
- Not all mediums (or larges) are created equal.
- Sears doesn't even try to stay up with fashion.
- Changing your baby's diaper before you even start shopping is the best way.
- This season's "Mu-Mu" look is something that I am going to buy into as long as I can. It helps that everything looks like maternity clothes because I'm going to need them soon. (yes, that is my announcement).
- Going shopping is one of the best ways to become dissatisfied with all of the blessings that you have. Buddhists know whats up.

Congratulations Jan. That is very exciting. By the way, I am glad that I can see that it is you that posted this instead of "The Franciscos" or "Jancisco" This way, I know it is you that is pregnant, and not Ben. That would be awkward.

I didn't know that malls could be so thought provoking. I hear you about the "dissatisfied" stuff. When ever I go in a mall, I see all these things I don't have but would like. Sometimes that feelings caries over until i've had a slap in the face to remind me of all my blessings and the things I do have.

I'm due in 9 months. I just don't like keeping this kind of a secret because I'm so excited.

So, like August 31.

Yipee!

Holy Smokies, that is super exciting! I'm all ready to have another one (that's not an announcement), but Jeff thinks that we should space them out more than a year apart. Whatever. I'm so excited for you!

Happy news Jan, simply wonderful. I better get planning so our important life moments continue to be just three to four months later. Please let me know if you need anything.

Congratulations Francisco family!! That is so exciting! I agree with the mall thoughts. I often people watch while I'm at work and can't believe some of the crazy things people wear, but often get down a little when my wish list is far longer than my budget! :) Congrats again!

What a sneaky way to avoid the awkward "Hey guess what everybody..." moment. Congrats and hooray for mu-mus!

You're pregnant? You are number 5 of my friends. I keep wondering if it's a hint for me, but I've concluded I can sit this round out, right? (Congrats!!!)

Wow. Congratulations. Hopefully number two Francisco's name will also be no less common than 5 in the U.S.A. You better start thinking!
