We are celebrating Clark's one month birthday today. I think it is more of a celebration for me--he's survived one month with me as his mother and he is still going strong. I haven't done anything to stop his progression or stunt his growth (he measured 20.5 inches this morning, which means he grew 2 inches in one month).
I think every birthday party for the first 3-5 years of a child's life is really a celebration of victory for the mother. She is keeping another human being alive, and if she is really good, making that human being a better person.

Frannies, Congrats!!! Happy Birthday Clark... In repsonse to your comment about using the telephone while in the restroom, that applies more to public restrooms. Every once in a while you have to use the restroom but the key is not to flush, and also, if you know you are going to make any noise at all, call the person right back. Hey well we drove into Utah two nights ago and want to come and visit you guys if we can. Give Codi a call and let us know if we can see Clark....
