So you know how Windows will always tell you that all their programs have updates to install. . . every time you turn on your computer. Well, I complied with their request to update our Windows Media Player, and boy howdy am I glad we did. The new version has a link to a program called URGE. Its like Napster--you can download all sorts of music and listen to radio stations and stuff. Apparently a monthly-subscription to unlimited access is $15 each month BUT they offer a two week free subscription to try it out.
We signed up for the freebie, and so far we've probably downloaded 50 albums. . if not more. Its awesome! Ask me how many George Strait albums Ben got last night! 13. 6.4 hours of George Strait enjoyment. Actually, I think the enjoyment would end after about 45 minutes.
So I totally recommend doing the windows media player update. Then just download as fast as you can. Its free.

Good idea. We're going to need a lot of music for our cross country drive.
Jan, 6.4 hours of George is nothing but pure enjoyment, everything else is just details.
The question is what happens after the two weeks. Does the music that you downloaded go away?
we aren't sure yet. But we've been able to transfer it to an MP3 player, so I think it's ours. we discovered, however, that you can't burn them on CDs.
