Clark is talking alot now. I love it love it love it. I love genuinely laughing at/with him every day because he is genuinely funny.
These are few of my favorites:
About 17 times a day, he says "I heard a noise" and I say "where was it" and he says "in the wall". Its usually the ice maker in the freezer.
This morning we were in their room playing and suddenly he turned to Eva and said, "no baby!" and then he walked out of the room and just before he shut the door, he turned to her and said, "two minutes, baby!". I think our time-out technique is working.
He's trying to teach Eva baby sign now as we are. He sits at the table and says his trademarked "moiee, moiee, baby" while putting his fingers together (more, more).
Tonight in Wal-Mart I felt like a celebrity because all the way across the produce section, I heard his little voice chirping, "Where mommy go? MOOMMMMMY!!! MOOOOMMMMY!!!!" when he saw me. Then he started clapping his hands against the sides of his face. So much excitement. So, so much.
Anyway, we are settling in here right nicely. After a couple of setbacks (no electricity for 3 days, a leaking bathroom that caused some disgusting carpet problems but no AC to dry it out, and waiting for service people to come only to find out that they had somehow done it already) we are unpacked and loving our little house. We found a one story house in a good neighborhood with a big yard (full of fire ants). We are loving it, for real.
The beach is pretty much perfect here. Here's our first outing.

I love Clark. I also just checked out Harlingen on google maps. Seems wonderful and hot. I can't believe you didn't have AC and electricity for so long. Bless you. We really want to come visit!
Post a picture of your house! I'm glad you are settling in. I'm so sorry about the awful beginning. Sounds HOT!
Jan, I love your family. Sorry about all of the house troubles, but I guess you just should have stayed here...
My blog address is mylifeintune.blogspot.com.
If we ever make it down your way, I'll let you know!
Moving is always fun, isn't it?!? It is SO fun when they start talking, isn't it?!! Just wait till he says something you would say, exactly how you would say it. Ethan is the best entertainment!!
Glad to see you are all doing well.
I'm so glad you're still alive. I had begun to wonder. Too bad about the fire ants, we know how that goes. Clark is a doll(I can say that about a boy right?) Mary is also asking me "What was that noise" all the time. Weird, but funny. I'd love to see some recent pics of you guys.
You and Eva are looking great! I love the Walmart excitement!
Congrats on buying a house! And YEA for the beach! Clark sounds like such a fun boy. I LOVE when they start talking and making their own jokes / grown-up speeches. And I love the Wal-Mart story. It makes me think of a story Jeanie Johnson told in Sunday school. Very sweet.
HEY! sounds like you guys are having a fun time! Steve is done with school today!!! anyway, we were thinking of going down to South Padre for 3 days starting Tuesday. Not sure yet, but it's very possible. So, let me know if you guys are open maybe we can stop by for a quick hi!
